OVERHEAD STORAGE WITH UHF MOUNTING

This collection holds the same 79 dual cab roof console range covered in the primary roof console listings. The duplicate exists for shoppers arriving from different category navigation paths. The same roof consoles are offered in both versions. For 79 dual cab owners, the roof console adds proper overhead storage between the sun visors with compartments for sunglasses, registration papers, spare keys, fuses, and a small torch, plus a recessed UHF radio mounting position for vehicles running aftermarket two-way radios on remote roads or work sites.

ABS MOULDED, UHF RADIO READY

Each roof console in this collection is moulded from ABS with a textured finish matched to the factory dual cab headlining. Compartments include lockable storage for valuables, an open shelf for sunglasses and small daily items, a recessed UHF radio mount sized for standard 5-watt 80-channel units, plus additional smaller cubby holes. Mounting uses sun visor brackets and supplied extension hardware without drilling into the outer roof skin. UHF cable routing through the headlining follows the existing wiring channels for a workshop-clean install that does not visibly run cabling across the cabin.

VDJ AND GDJ DUAL CAB FITMENT

The roof consoles fit the 79 dual cab across two production eras. The 2012 to 09/2023 VDJ era uses one specification, and the 10/2023 onwards GDJ facelift uses an updated specification because Toyota updated the sun visor bracket positions at the facelift.
